Yes, as per the mandate by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), FASTag is strictly mandatory for all four-wheelers across India to pay tolls on National Highways. Vehicles without a valid FASTag are charged double the standard toll fee.

If your FASTag is damaged, lost, or not readable at the toll plaza, you must immediately contact your tag issuer bank to block the old tag and request a replacement.
